Formthotics feature comfort and cushioning on the top layer while maintaining motion control and stability with a firm base.
The Formax foam is high volume providing maximum heel and arch support. The top layer provides extreme comfort and cushioning, while the high control bottom layer provides maximum feedback and motion control. The foam is antimicrobial, and prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi which causes foot odour.
Feautures
Formthotics Workfit offer support that you can rely on in tough working conditions, when you are on your feet all day. The top beige comfort layer provides cushioning and the black base provides support, placing your foot in a natural position so that your feet are less fatigued. Workfit is designed to fit into all work shoes, boots and narrower fitting rubber work boots.
With Formthotics the foot is strong, stable and well prepared to form an efficient lever for powerful, responsive forward propulsion. The limb and knee are aligned over the foot maximising efficient forward movement of the entire lower limb.
Sizing
According to shoe size. When sizing orthotics, if your shoe size falls between orthotic sizing, then as a rule of thumb, size down in orthotic (see images for size chart).
Formthotics History
The discovery of Formthotics, like many other revolutionary ideas, was deceptively straightforward. In 1970, while walking barefoot in the sand, Dr. Charlie Baycroft had the realisation that our feet were not designed to walk on the hard, flat, unforgiving surfaces of today's world. This was the genesis of the Formthotics movement. At the same time as this realisation, David Boyd co-inventor of Formthotics, boot fitter, professional skier (at the time), and now Director of Foot Science International realised that custom orthotics not only enhanced his skiing but also made his ski boots more comfortable. He studied how to make custom orthotics out of thermoformable foam and developed prototypes to test the theory.
