NRX Iron-On Heat Tape — 22mm x 10m

Specially developed for therapists and makers who prefer not to sew, this heat-activated tape bonds NRX materials quickly and cleanly. The extra-long 10 metre roll (22 mm wide) gives excellent value and plenty of length for multiple repairs or projects.

How to use

1. Cut the two NRX pieces to be joined and align them side-by-side.
2. Place the materials on a protective silicone baking sheet or baking paper.
3. Cut the heat tape to the required length — we recommend cutting slightly longer than the seam, as the tape may shrink slightly when heated.
4. Lay the tape between the two material edges. Cover the tape and materials with another silicone baking sheet or baking paper.
5. Heat with an iron (no steam) or a heat press set to 120–140°C. Apply heat for about 10 seconds, then release and check the bond.
6. If necessary, reapply heat for a few more seconds to strengthen the bond. Allow the join to cool completely before handling.

Tips & safety

• Always test on a scrap piece first to confirm settings and fit.
• Do not use the iron’s steam function — moisture can affect adhesion.
• Use protective sheets to prevent adhesive transfer to your iron or press.
• Allow the bonded area to cool before stretching or stressing the seam.
