VARISAN® FASHION thigh-high stockings combine Class 2 medical compression with the soft, sheer look of fashion hosiery. They come from VARISAN's Phlebology Line and are manufactured in Italy by Cizeta Medicali. The RAL-certified graduated compression is firmest at the ankle and eases up the leg, helping blood flow back towards the heart and relieving the heaviness, aching and swelling of venous disorders.

Designed as medical compression wear for women, VARISAN FASHION is circular-knitted from soft microfibre yarn. It gives a natural sheer finish with high breathability, so it looks and feels like ordinary stockings at work, at home or out for the evening. QUICKFEET® technology makes it easier to slip the foot in and put the stocking on. A silicone grip band holds the top in place. Choose open or closed toe, in Short or Normal length.

VARISAN® FASHION is indicated for:

  • Swollen, heavy or painful legs
  • Spider veins (telangiectasia) and reticular varicose veins under 3 mm
  • Varicose veins over 3 mm, or preventing their recurrence
  • Oedema (leg swelling)
  • Skin changes of venous origin, and prevention of venous leg ulcers
  • Healed venous ulcers (to help prevent recurrence)
  • Active venous ulcers (to support healing and relieve pain)

Cizeta also lists post-operative swelling among the uses of its circular-knit compression garments, so VARISAN FASHION can be used as support stockings after surgery when your doctor advises it. Medical compression garments should be prescribed and correctly sized; your doctor or health professional will choose the right style and compression class.

Features

  • Class 2 medical compression: 23–32 mmHg graduated compression
  • RAL-certified: compression performance tested to the RAL standard
  • Soft microfibre yarn: a natural sheer effect with high breathability, a comfortable choice for compression stockings in summer
  • Feminine, stylish design: looks like fashion hosiery rather than a medical stocking
  • QUICKFEET® technology: easier foot insertion and effortless donning
  • Anatomically angled heel: keeps the foot correctly positioned
  • Silicone grip band: holds the thigh-high stocking in place without a suspender belt
  • Open or closed toe: the open-toe version has a neat knitted edge
  • Two lengths: Short and Normal, so the compression sits correctly on shorter and standard legs
  • Easier donning: the VARISAN Stocking Slider is a simple stocking dressing aid for the open-toe versions
